#blabchat is back!

With around 20% of the global population under coronavirus lockdown, and with many of us adjusting to life as full-time home workers (and educators), we thought, what better time to take advantage of a captive audience!

If you’ve ever heard David Snowdon talking about the troubled Apollo 13 mission, you’ll know that he explains that for innovation to happen 3 conditions need to be in place: starvation, pressure, and perspective shift. We’ve been interested in the posts we’ve seen on social media this week which describe the ways in which people are adapting the way they work in the face of adversity. This got us thinking, if we’re all are being starved of our usual way of working, have a pressure to maintain the services we provide and our perspectives have shifted towards social-distancing, self-isolation and lockdown, there is a real potential to see some interesting innovation born out of this rather exceptional set of circumstances we are all witnessing.

So, for this edition of #blabchat, we want to discuss the impact of a global pandemic on the way we work; the places we are working, the people we are working with and the tools we are using. Fundamentally we want to know how you are tackling the challenge to collaborate in socially distant workplaces.

Because we know that the standard 9-5 is pretty much out the window these days, we wanted to give you two opportunities to catch the conversation; we’d love you to join us for either a lunchtime #blabchat or an evening #blabchat on Wednesday 1st April when we will be exploring:

Join us for some thought-provoking chat on Wednesday 1st April from 12 pm and again later at 8 pm. Looking forward to chatting with you all!
